Sunbeam Nursery School

Sunbeam Nursery School is composed of  up to fifteen children and meets on Mon., Tues., and Wed. mornings from 9:00 to 11:30 under the direction of Carol Rosenberger and Doreen Lukas.  Most of these children come from families unrelated to the New Paltz Nazarene Church.

This ministry meets monthly on the first Wed. afternoon at 2:15 under the direction of Pastor Trauffer and with the assistance of George Ronk at the piano. There are about twenty-five residents of the nursing home who attend these services.

Mountain View Rehab Services

This ministry meets weekly on Wed. afternoons at 3:00.  The clergy of the community take turns conducting this service.  Pastor Trauffer leads this service on the second Wed. of the month with the help of George Ronk.  About twenty residents attend these services.

New Paltz Pregnancy Support Center

The Support Center provides a Christian understanding of the sanctity of human life and a compassionate response to women in a crisis pregnancy.  There are numerous resources available to assist women to carry their baby to term and to continue to mother their child after birth.  The New Paltz Church of the Nazarene provides a monthly contribution to sustain this ministry.

Community Walkathon for World Hunger

This is an annual community event held the second Sat. in October.  The purpose is to raise money for world hunger needs.  One-fourth of the funds goes to FAMILY OF NEW PALTZ to meet hunger needs in the New Paltz area.  The Church of the Nazarene encourages parishioners to participate in the walkathon by walking, by making donations, and by providing snacks for the walkers.

Community Christian Services and Fellowship

New Paltz Nazarenes are participants in the services and activities planned by the New Paltz Christian Clergy Association, and Pastor Trauffer is the chairman of the group.

County Fair Water Ministry

This is an annual ministry of the Nazarene Church at the Ulster County Fair held the first week in Aug.  At our booth a drink of ice-cold water is available to all.  The church seeks to serve real needs, and this is one on hot Aug. days at the Fair.  Usually several thousand drinks are served.

Vacation Bible School

Another annual event is Vacation Bible School held from Mon. to Fri., 6:00 PM till 8:30 PM, the last week in June. Children from the community are welcome to attend.  The program includes Bible songs and stories, recreation, crafts, and refreshments for children from pre-K through sixth grade.
